Dan Louisell - Journey Through The Bubbly Musical Wonderland (June, 2001)

why in the hell did i give this album such a long title? bad idea jeans on my part. i started recording this right after i'd finished quadraphonic. in fact, there are one or two quadraphonic "special-editions" which feature i think "lonely drive back home." i'm pretty sure my grandma has one. i sure don't. this album was finished about six months after i'd finished "quadraphonic." i had graduated already and didn't sell very many copies, at least compared to the first one. strangly enough, however, i think that this is the cd with the most songs that i get requested to play on it. i kind of feel bad, though, because it seems like this album got lost in the mix, if you will. i really like how it turned out and am happy with how it sounds for the most part, but as soon as it was done, i started working on number three and lost all interest in this one. that seems to happen every time. but i think my guitar playing was better and my bass playing had definately improved. everything was starting to click finally. at the begining of "police don't like music," that is actually then-police chief bill hendricks telling the band i was in that "during the day, $95 dollar fine, so you guys wanna keep playing, i can keep writing." what a mean guy. not because he made us stop, but the way he went about it. just because he had a badge did not give him the right to be an ass.
